Notify your orthodontist. If necessary, they will see you to reattach it. Otherwise, apply wax if it causes discomfort. The bracket won’t fall off since it’s attached to the wire.
Place wax on the protruding wire and call your orthodontist to have it trimmed.
The orthodontist will replace it at your next appointment. Notify your orthodontist to see if you can continue wearing your elastics.
The band moves but remains attached to the archwire. If your next appointment is soon, wait until then. If not, notify your orthodontist.
Try to bend it back using the eraser end of a pencil. If that doesn’t work, apply wax and call your orthodontist for an appointment.
Don’t wait, as your teeth might shift. Contact your orthodontist within the week or find an emergency service.
If you lost your aligner and recently changed it (within the last three days), wear the previous one and contact your orthodontist.
If you were close to the next scheduled change (within three days), move on to the next aligner and contact your orthodontist.
Find an orthodontist or dentist to assist you. Have damaged parts removed if needed, but avoid repairs. Contact us upon your return.
